Service

Postcard mailers built for local response.

Postcards still outperform most digital channels for local service businesses — 80–90% open rates, physical presence, and a clear offer in the recipient's hand. We design, print, and mail them across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.

Sizes we mail

8.5×11 EDDM — our default for shared group mailers and solo neighborhood drops. Largest in-hand presence, lowest postage per square inch.

6.5×9 or 6×9 — a strong mid-size option for monthly cadence at lower unit cost. Eligible for EDDM Retail.

4.25×6 / 4×6 — standard small postcard. Cheapest to print and mail, best for high-frequency reminder drops.

9×12 — oversized solo mailer for grand openings and high-end services where shelf-life matters.

What's on a Crazy Mailman postcard

Every postcard we design follows the same response-driven layout: a single big headline, one specific offer, one clear call-to-action, and a tracking method (QR code, unique phone, promo code, or landing page). No clutter, no checklist of services — local response mail wins on focus, not on packing everything in.

Print quality matters more than people think

A flimsy postcard reads as junk before the recipient even processes the offer. We print on 14–16 pt gloss cover stock with optional UV or matte finish. The physical weight is a quiet trust signal — it lasts longer on the kitchen counter, gets fewer "throw away on sight" reactions, and survives USPS handling without bending.

Frequently asked questions

What's the best postcard size for direct mail?+

For local marketing in 2026, an 8.5×11 EDDM postcard delivers the strongest in-hand impression and the lowest postage rate per square inch. For more frequent, lower-cost drops, a 6×9 standard postcard works well. The smaller 4.25×6 postcard is the cheapest to print and mail but easiest to ignore.

How thick should a postcard be?+

We print on 14 pt or 16 pt gloss cover stock with optional UV coating. That weight feels like a real card, not a flyer, and stands up to USPS handling without bending.

How many postcards should I mail and how often?+

For local visibility, plan 3–6 drops to the same area within 6–12 months. One mailer alone produces a measurable response, but repeated exposure to the same households is what drives recall and conversion. Most local businesses run a drop every 30–60 days.

Do I need to design my own postcard?+

No. Send your logo, photos, and offer details and we design the postcard from scratch. You can also supply print-ready files if you already have a designer.
